Big Nambas Big Water Package
4 Days/3 Nights - West Malekula
For travellers who want total immersion - this is the package! On arrival visit Vanuatu's largest coconut plantation and copra production plant, the fascinating Malekula Cultural Centre, local produce market, and the Malampa Handicraft Centre. The afternoon is free for you to relax and swim off the white-sands of Aop Beach. The following day visit the Mae Village and Experience the Big Nambas Nalint Tribe then continue with a truck ride of 45 minutes to Dramdram Bungalow. You check in there have lunch and then trek up the stunning limestone cascades of the Losinwei River and swim in the natural bush ‘spa’ pools at the top. Once returned you can spend the evening watching the spectacular sunset over the Losinwei Bay then spend the night at Dramdram Bungalow. The following day explore the pristine and protected Uri Marine Reserve where you will go snorkeling with colourful fish, giant clams, and turtles ...and if you're lucky you might see a dugong!

Description:
Day 1: Arrive on 9.30am flight from Vila or 3.30pm flight from Santo. Go sightseeing with Malekula Tours (time permitting) visiting local Copra Production at PRV, Malekula Cultural Centre, Malampa Handicraft and Lakatoro Market. Overnight at Lakatoro Palm Lodge or Nabelchel Bungalows. Aop Beach, close by, is a good beach for swimming and relaxing in the afternoon. Day 2 : In the morning visit the Big Nambas Nalint Tribe Tour at Mae Village and Losinwei Cascades and Waterfall Walk in the afternoon. Overnight at Dram-Dram Bungalows on the west coast. Day 3: Pick up and transfer to Lakatoro jetty for Uri Marine Reserve Tour (to see giant clams and turtles). Return to Lakatoro jetty for transfer to stay again at Lakatoro Palm Lodge, Ameltoro, Malekula Holiday Villas or Nabelchel Bungalows overnight. Day 4: Transfer to airport for flight at 4.15pm to Vila. Please note that shops and offices are closed on weekends and public holidays. |
